Starting Again

New Leaders Appointed

At the committee meeting held on 15th August 1941, the Rev. GMP Hamilton was unanimously elected to the post of Scoutmaster, subject, of course, to the approval of the District Commissioner. It was resolved to get the Troop working again as quickly as possible. There is a clue in the minutes as to where the Troop used to meet; quote- "The Old Schools at the Bury Fields being no longer available for Scout purposes the question of finding a suitable room was discussed and it was resolved for the Rev. Hamilton to inspect two or three rooms that were suggested and and make his choice of same."

It was reported the two bell tents had been loaned to the Home Guard and the trek cart to the Girl Guides "during the present emergency."
